Director’s Message
Rocket Academy is a school like no other in Wisconsin, and I am honored to be its first Director. Students of the Rocket Academy will be fully immersed in dual-credit courses offered by Lakeshore Technical College. This means students will simultaneously be working toward their high school diploma and a degree or certificate from LTC. The average school day at Rocket Academy will resemble a simulated workplace offering students a unique model for learning. Imagine the employment opportunities waiting for a student who graduates high school with industry-based credentials and workplace fundamentals.
I have been educating students in Career & Technical Education since 1997. I recognize the need to reduce the employment gap in manufacturing and the trades in our area and also have a passion for helping students identify and prepare for a career of their choice. Rocket Academy’s Mission is to close the college and career readiness achievement gap so that all students are prepared to successfully take the next step in their own skilled manufacturing career pathway by graduation.

School Performance
Wisconsin State Assessment System (WSAS)
One way students of the Cedar Grove-Belgium School District’s Rocket Academy demonstrate their progress toward achieving academic standards is through participation in the Wisconsin State Assessment System (WSAS). The various tests that are associated to the WSAS are administered each year and include a variety of grade levels. WISEdash Public Portal: Learn more about the achievement of your school district and school.
WISEdash is a data portal that uses "dashboards," or visual collections of graphs and tables, to provide multi-year education data about Wisconsin schools. Data on the portal are redacted and available by school, district, or state. Current and certified data can be displayed for multiple years and it can be grouped and filtered by a variety of demographics including grade level, gender, race/ethnicity, economic status, disability, English proficiency, and migrant status. As a public reporting tool, WISEdash is used by districts, schools, parents, researchers, media, and other community members to view data published by the Department of Public Instruction (DPI). Wisconsin uses school and district report cards to provide information to families about their local schools. The report cards measure important pieces of data that shed light on how a school or district is doing and where it can improve.
