Lee Kaat- Instructor, Hvac

My goal is to teach the students, in the art of what it takes to make a home comfortable and enjoyable to those living there. Teaching them to understand how to conduct themselves in a way that positivity represents the company they work for and dedication to doing the very best they can.

I have worked in the HVAC industry for 30 years. To keep up with the ever evolving ways of doing things I have taken classes and attend different training and seminars to sharpen both my HVAC and business skills. I have been in the manufacturing industry, at other companies, doing a variety of jobs. I feel that my experiences in Welding, CNC Programming, Tool and Die Designing, Drafting, and owning a business, have made me what I am today. I hope to instill the drive to continue learning and the desire to be a good employee in my students. With the shortage of new people coming into the trades, I feel the need to do my part to help get the next generation in the industry, which I’ve enjoyed.

I was born and raised in the area and have deep roots here. I enjoy fishing, hunting, woodworking, black smithing, and have been learning to smoke different meats. Bacon is my favorite thing to smoke. Now that I am mostly retired there will be more time for me to do woodworking and black smithing. These hobbies are my form of relaxation and black smithing is a good way to take out my frustrations. My wife and I are planning to take some time to travel around the state.
